Segment customers based on their bookings

You can segment contacts based on their bookings and target them via related campaigns.

Use the Bookings Wizard

To segment your customers based on the bookings information, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Single Customer View module, then click Contact Segmentation.

  2. From the Data Tree nodes list, drag and drop the node Bookings into the Contact Selection.

    Note: To ensure your selection is created, drag your node to the box named Drag and drop items from the Data Tree here to include.

  3. Select the relevant fields to query on:

    • Booking Location.

    • Booking Date Time.

    • Dining Date Time.

    • Covers.

    • Booking Status.

    • Origin Of The Booking.

    • Booking Type.

    • Booking Offer.

    • Guest Tags.

    • Booking Tags.

    • Booking Source.

    • Count of Interactions.

  4. Click Next, then further specify any other information.

  5. Click Next, and enter a title for your wizard's query.


Segment the customers who dined on specific dates

To segment the customers who dined on specific dates, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Single Customer View module, then click Contact Segmentation.

  2. From the Data Tree nodes list, drag and drop the node Bookings into the Contact Selection.

  3. Select Dining Date Time and Booking Status.

    • Dining Date Time: is the date the customer's reservation is for.

  4. For Dining Date Time, you can select:

    • On: if you want to choose a specific dining date.

    • Between: if you want to choose a date range. Click the date icon to add the dates.

  5. Click Next.

  6. From the Booking Status list, select Completed.


Segment the customers who booked on specific dates

To segment the customers who made a booking on specific dates, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Single Customer View module, then click Contact Segmentation.

  2. From the Data Tree nodes list, drag and drop the Bookings wizard into the Contact Selection.

  3. Select Booking Location, Booking Date Time, Booking Status.
    ​

    • For Booking Location, from the list select the relevant location.

    • For Dining Date Time, you can select:

      • On: if you want to choose a specific dining date.

      • On or after: if you want to choose a date from which you want to check the bookings.

      • Between: if you want to choose a date range. Click the date icon to add the dates.

    • For Booking Status, select Booked.

  4. Specify your wizard's query title and click Next.
