Subdomain setup

Subdomain formatting

To strengthen your emails deliverability using your Acteol SE CRM, we can accommodate setting up your own dedicated sub-domain within Acteol SE.

Your Acteol SE campaign sender can be formatted using one of the following dedicated sub-domains, depending on your preference, for example:

  • @news.yourdomain

  • @comms.yourdomain

  • @updates.yourdomain

  • @marketing.yourdomain

Or any alternative using the same format:
โ€‹

@awordofyourchoice.yourdomain

Example:

@comms.accessacteolse.com

๐Ÿค“Tip: This will not impact the sender names that contain your specific locations names.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Once the subdomain is set up, you can't revert it back manually.

However, the other campaign sending details below can be updated:

  • The from name: The name that is going to appear to the contact above or in the left of the subject line.

  • From address: The first part before the domain in the e-mail address that you are sending from.

If you would like to request an update for these campaign details, to include your sites names instead of your business name, you can raise a support case for the Acteol SE support team.

Subdomain setup process

If youโ€™re happy to move forward, you can message us via the Access Digital Assistant, and request a chat with a support human agent to confirm which sub-domain youโ€™d like to use, and we will move to the next steps.

The next steps will include:

  1. We will generate the required DNS settings for the chosen domain.

  2. We will share with you the DNS settings, for it to be passed to your IT team.

  3. Your IT team can then apply them on their side.

  4. Once the DNS records are in place, we will verify that and we will confirm it to you.

  5. You would be requested to set up a short warm-up campaign using a throttling method, which we will configure from our side. This means gradually increasing the number of emails sent over a short period rather than sending everything at once, allowing mailbox providers to build trust in the new sub-domain and improve long-term inbox placement and open rates.

  6. After this warm-up phase, we will finalise the settings to run the new subdomain for all your campaigns, and you will be able to send campaigns more regularly and with greater confidence in performance.
