To create an SMS campaign, follow the steps below:
From the left-hand menu, click Campaigns.
Click Campaign Builder.
Work through the sections:
Target
Create
Content
Schedule
Target
Here you can add your selection, set the campaign type and sender profile, and decide how to reach your customers by following the steps below:
To add a selection, select one of the options:
Import Selection: To load a previously saved selection.
New Selection: To open the Contact Segmentation screen and build your selection. Once finished, click Use.
Set the parameters for your campaign:

This setting determines whether your selection will be filtered by the opt-in status or not. several conditions, for example the sender from name and address, reply to name and address, and whether it's a standard or service email.
By the campaign channels, select
SMS.🤓Tip: The Count column indicates how many of your initial selection you can contact via the chosen channel.
Click Next.
📌Note: Once you click Next you can't edit the choice of the sender profile.
Create
In the Create screen, you can start to create your campaign:
Enter the title and description of your campaign.This is for internal reference to help you distinguish your campaigns.
In the Category drop-down, change the selected category based on the campaign categories list you have available.
To create an automated campaign, select Automated Campaign. The alternative is a single one-off campaign.
To include a voucher, select I want to setup a voucher for the campaign.
Select if you want to send the campaign to a recipient more than once.

To attach a voucher to the campaign, see the options below:
To select an existing voucher, click the Use icon by the voucher.
To create a new voucher, click Create Offer and populate the details.
Design
In the Design step, you will have:
Mobile field
This is the field in the database that will be used for a contact's mobile phone number. It should always be mapped to the filed Mobile field.
Sender name
Is who the message will come from, rather than displaying a phone number, it cannot exceed 11 characters.
SMS text content
The text content can be up to 140 characters per SMS, and you can add the following information:
Export fields
To add a dynamic export field, click the tag
icon to the right of the text content and add the relevant information, like first name or last name.
Bypass the business rules
Tick this box to ensure the email is sent to everyone in your selection regardless of when they last received an email.
⚠️Important: You can tick ‘Extend SMS’ if you need the SMS to be longer. This means you would be charged for the SMS units differently per contact rather than 1 SMS unit per a 1 SMS to a contact.
Adding shortened links
To add a shortened link, follow these steps:
Click the link
icon next to the text content.Select personalised link, then write or paste the link.
Click Add link.
🤓Tip: Only one short link is allowed by an SMS campaign
Click Apply Design.
A confirmation pop-up will appear, indicating to you how many SMS units your target needs for this campaign, and how much is your SMS units left credit. Click Okay.
Click Save.
Schedule
In the Schedule screen you’ll see:
Channel: Shows the channel you chose: SMS.
Title: The campaign name.
Preview/Edit: To either preview or edit the campaign.
Priority: Select low, normal, or high priority.
Send date: The date and time which the email sends.
Expire(s) on: The final date and time that the email sends.
Weather: Schedule your campaign to send based on the weather temperature.
⚠️Important: Setting up a campaign with weather dependency rules is possible only for campaigns that are not included in the journeys.
