Choose your journey layout
From the Modules Menu
, then click Journey Builder.Click New Journey.
Select the relevant template:
Blank Template: Set up a journey from scratch and have all the setup flexibility.
Birthday: Define the days before a contact’s birthday so you’d send the first communication.
Welcome: Define the source and hours of the newly added customers.
Lapsed: Define the period after the visit and the delay.
Post Visit: Define the days to wait after the contact’s last visit before sending the first communication.
🤓Tip: If you want to create a flexible journey, choose the blank template option.
Customise your journey settings
Select the sender profile: You can choose between marketing and service sender profiles depending on the purpose of your journey.
📌Note: You can't update the sender profile once the journey is live. You can still edit the journey if you saved is as a draft.
The same sender profile, marketing or service, is used across all campaigns within the journey.
Select the date and schedule details:
Schedule Start Date.
Schedule End Date.
Run Schedule.
If you need to action an exclusion rule, select Exclusion Rule and define the criteria.
⚠️Important: Without exclusion rules, contacts entering a journey could receive the campaign every time it cycles, potentially every hour.
Click Save.
Design your journey
To design your journey after you've set up its rules, follow each of these steps:
⚠️Important: Click save on the top left to save any new updates you make, as your progress does not auto-save.
Add a selection
To add a selection of contacts to be in the start of your journey,
Click the Add Selection
icon. To add an existing selection, click the Add
icon for the relevant selection. To create a new selection:
At the top of the popup, click New Selection.
Create your selection then click Use.
Add a campaign
To add a campaign, follow the steps below:
From Journey Items, drag and drop the box indicating the word campaign to the plus
icon.Hover over the campaign block, and to create the campaign, click the plus
icon:Create campaign: this will let you create a new campaign.
Re-use campaign: this will provide you with the list of your existing campaigns so you can create a copy. By the relevant campaign, click Choose Campaign, then give it a title and proceed with the remaining setup.
To add a delay, from the Journey Items drag and drop the Delay box.
Add a title to your delay so you can identify it later on.
Adjust the criteria for the delay by typing the number of minutes, hours, days, weeks, years.
Click Save.
Note: You can't update the delay criteria after that your journey is live.
Add a decision
To add a decision, follow the steps below:
From the Journey Items, drag and drop the Decision box.
If a customers action meets the decision criteria, they receive the Yes flow.
If a customers actions don't meet the decision criteria, they receive the No flow.
Add a title so you can identify it later on.
Select the action based on what the next step in the journey is:
Clicked: The customer has clicked any link on the previous campaigns.
Visited: Customer made a visit.
Redeemed: The voucher in the last campaign is redeemed.
Viewed: Last campaign is viewed.
Selection: You can include a selection from the contact segmentation.
Click Save.
Add the remaining flows
To end the flow, add the End box from the Journey Items.
🤓Tip: A journey item is linked correctly when there's a blue linking line between the item and the last or next item.
Activate your journey
Once you're happy with your journey design and flows, you can activate your journey following the below steps:
From the top left of the page, click Activate.
In New Start Date, enter when to start sending the journey.
Click Update.
