Update the opt in status of a customer

You can update the opt in status of a customer if they request that from you or your DPO.

To update the opt-in status of a customer if they requested that, follow the steps below:

  1. From the left-hand menu icon, click SCV.

  2. Click Search contact.

  3. In the search bar, search for the contact's name or email address.

  4. Click the Display Contact Profile icon.

  5. Click Data Tree , then by Communications, click the arrow icon.

  6. By your business name, click the arrow icon.

  7. By Optin, click the arrow icon.

  8. By the Email tick box:

    • To opt out the customer: Clear the Email tick box. The tick box will look like this

    • To opt in the customer: Select the Email tick box. The tick box will look like this

  9. Click the Summary page, then click the refresh icon.

  10. By Contactable, hover over the email icon and verify if it's now set as:

    • Opted-out: Red no icon.

    • Opted-in: Green yes icon.
