Hash customer profiles personal data

You can maintain analytical data for a customer but remove personal data in a few easy steps.

⚠️Warning: Action this only if you're having a confirmed request, as if you remove a customer's personal data by hashing it, it's not possible to retrieve this data again.

To hash a customer's personal data but keep all their analytical data, follow the steps below:

  1. Click SCV, then click Search contact.

  2. In the search bar, search for the contact's name or email address.

  3. Click the Display Contact Profile icon.

  4. Click the Hash icon, then click Confirm.

πŸ€“Tip: Once the contact hash is applied, all personal customer data is anonymised into an alphanumeric format, allowing interactions to be tracked on the contact profile's timeline without exposing identifiable information. If you just want to delete their contact, view this article.
