Switch your email templates to the new builder

Export your existing email templates from the old editor and import them into the new builder using the Import HTML feature.

Campaign Builder Evolved uses a new email editor format that is different from the legacy editor. Your existing email templates and campaigns are not automatically converted, they remain accessible and editable in the legacy editor for as long as it is available.

The quickest way to move a template into the new editor is to download it as HTML from the legacy editor and import it into a new template in Campaign Builder Evolved.

Migrate a template

Follow these steps to download a legacy email template and import it into the new editor.

Step 1: Preview the legacy template and download the HTML

  1. From the left-hand menu, click Campaigns.

  2. Click Templates.

  3. Find the template you want to migrate.

  4. Click the three-dot ⋯ menu on the template card and select Preview.

  5. Click Download HTML.

Step 2: Create a new template

  1. From the Templates page, click + New Template.

  2. Enter the template name, groups, and sender profiles.

  3. Set Starting point to Start from scratch.

Step 5: Import the HTML

  1. Once the new editor loads, click Import HTML icon in the top toolbar.

  2. Select the HTML file you downloaded.

  3. Wait a few seconds while the editor parses the file and maps each section to a content block.

⚠️ Important: Once the import is complete, review your template carefully before saving. Most standard content blocks (Title, Paragraph, Image, Button) are recognised and mapped automatically, but it's worth checking each section to make sure everything has come across as expected.
