Create a template using the new builder

Using the drag-and-drop template builder, you can design your own email template and use it when you're building your email campaigns.

Create a template

To create a template, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Campaigns, then click Templates.

  2. Click New Template, then enter the template details:

    • Template Name: a name that helps you identify the template later.

    • Font family and text size.

    • Sender Profile: Which sender profiles can use the template.

  3. Click Save. The template opens in the New Builder (the Free drag-and-drop editor).

Design your template

The New Builder is a drag-and-drop editor with a canvas in the middle and a panel on the right. The right-hand panel has tabs for Content (individual blocks), Rows (column structures and your saved rows), and Settings (styling for whatever you have selected).

Add a row

Rows are the horizontal building blocks of the email; each row can be split into columns and holds your content blocks.

  1. From the Rows section of the right-hand panel, choose a row layout (a single column, or a multi-column split).

  2. Drag the row onto the canvas and drop it where you want it.

  3. Repeat to build up the overall structure of your template (for example a header row, one or more body rows, and a footer row).

🤓 Tip: Build the layout with rows first, then fill each row with content blocks in the next step, it's easier to get the structure right before adding detail.

Add content blocks into the rows

From the Content tab, drag the blocks you want into a row.

The available content blocks

  • Title/Heading

  • Paragraph (Text)

  • List

  • Image

  • Button

  • table

  • Divider

  • Spacer

  • Social

  • Dynamic content

  • HTML

  • Video

  • Icons

  • Menu

  • Text

Use the content blocks

  1. Switch to the Content section of the right-hand panel.

  2. Drag a content block into a row (or into a specific column).

  3. Select the block to open its settings on the right, then set its properties.

Style rows and blocks

  1. Select a row to edit its structure and appearance, adjust the number/width of its columns, its background colour, borders, padding, and how columns stack on mobile.

  2. Select a block to edit its own styling (colours, spacing, alignment, borders and padding).

  3. Use the formatting toolbar that appears when editing text blocks to style your copy.

Save reusable rows

In the New Builder, the equivalent of pre-building reusable panels is saving a custom row to your library so you can reuse it in future emails and templates.

  1. Select the row you want to reuse and open its row action menu.

  2. Choose the Save row action to open the Save Custom Rows dialog.

  3. Enter a Section Name, optionally mark it as Header, Footer or body, and pick a Category.

  4. Confirm to store the row. It becomes available as a reusable saved row for future designs.

📌 Note: You must give the row a name and a category, the dialog prevents saving without them.

Design with AI

  1. From the template actions, open the AI edit option and provide a prompt/instructions to generate content.

  2. Alternatively, open the AI design generator to generate full design options, then select one and apply it to your template.

Save your template

  1. To save your work regularly as you design, click Save in the editor after significant changes.

  2. When finished, save and close the editor. The template appears in the Templates grid with its status badge and is now available to select when you build an email campaign.
