To segment your customers based on pre-set visit frequency bands, follow the steps below:
Open the Single Customer View module, then click Contact Segmentation.
For the node Segment, click the arrow
to expand the relevant nodes.Drag and drop the relevant nodes for the required criteria.
πNote: the segments are based on the visit frequency, meaning it represents only the customers whose visits are tracked through your integrated third-party systems and walk-ins are excluded.
Segment name | Segment definition |
Loyal | The top 10% segment of visitors in the last 12 months by visit frequency. |
Frequent | The next 20% segment, 10% to 30%, of visitors in the last 12 months by visit frequency. |
Occasional | The next 20% segment, 30% to 50%, of visitors in the last 12 months by visit frequency. |
Infrequent | The bottom 50% segment, 50% to 100%, of visitors in the last 12 months by visit frequency. |
Lapsed | Customers who haven't visited in the last 12 months. |
Long-term lapsed | Customers who haven't visited in the last 24+ months. |
Never | Customers who are in the database but we've never tracked a visit for. |
