Guestline data segmentation via the Hotel Booker Wizard

When integrating your Guestline PMS data in Acteol, the Hotel Booker wizard fields help you filter, segment, and understand your guest bookings.

To understand your Guestline PMS data in Acteol via the Hotel Booker wizard, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Single Customer View icon, then click Contact Segmentation.

  2. Drag and drop the Hotel Booker (Wizard).

  3. Select the relevant fields:

    • Reservation Ref: The unique identifier for each booking; useful for locating or cross-checking specific reservations.

    • Location: The hotel or property where the booking is made; essential for multi-property setups.

    • Source ID: Identifies where the booking originated (Guestline).

    • Booking Date: The date the reservation was created.

    • Arrival Date: Defines the guest’s arrival date, you can choose a past date or a future one. Often used for campaign segmentation (e.g., excluding future arrivals from offers).

    • Departure Date: Defines the guest’s departure date. You can choose a past date or a future one.

    • Market Segment: Categorises guests by the booking channel or segment you have available (e.g., direct website, OTA, corporate).

    • Booking Details: Includes the number of nights, adults, children, and infants for the stay:

      • Number of Nights.

      • Number of Adults.

      • Number of Children.

      • Number of Infants.

    • Booking Status: Current stage of the booking (booked, cancelled, completed).

    • Booking Source: Specifies whether the booking came via direct channels or OTA (Online Travel Agencies).

    • Booking Source Description: Provides additional details, such as the OTA provider name (e.g, Expedia).

    • Booking Type: Indicates whether the booking is for bedrooms, functions, or other services.

    • Room Type: Specifies the available categories of room reserved (e.g., standard double, suite).

    • Rate Plan: The rate plan attached to the booking (e.g., B&B, flexible rate).

    • Room ID: Identifies the specific room number; helpful for tracking repeat guests who prefer certain rooms.

    • Estimated Booking Value: The predicted revenue for the reservation can be used for filtering high-value bookings.

    • Media Source: Tracks where the booking originated according to what you have (e.g., phone, direct website, walk-in).

    • Count of Interactions: Shows how many times the guest has met a selected criterion (e.g., number of bookings).

  4. Click Next, give your selection a title, then click Next.
