Create a Facebook ad

You can create a Facebook ad in a few easy steps.

πŸ“ŒNote: To follow these steps, you need to have purchased the Audience Management module and integrated your Facebook Ad accounts.

To create a Facebook ad, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Modules list, click Audience Management.

  2. Click Ad Summary.

  3. Click Create Advert, then select Facebook Ad.

  4. Work through the left-hand tabs.


Campaign setup

  1. Select the ad account.

  2. Name your ad.

    • This is for internal use and doesn't show on your ad.

  3. Set the ad's objective:

    • Page Likes.

    • Post Engagement.

    • Lead Generation.

    • Reach.

    • Link Clicks.

    • Video Views.

    • Conversions.

  4. Choose the placements:

    • Automatic placements: Maximise your budget and show your ads to more people.

      • πŸ“Œ Note: If you choose the automatic placements, you can't select Instagram as a channel.

    • Manual placements: Provides more placements for you to select and more opportunities you'll have to reach your target audience.

  5. Select Facebook as the channels for your ad

  6. Click Save & Continue.


Target setup

  1. Select the audience, you can select audiences you've already created.

    • Select Custom or Lookalike Audience,.

    • From from the Audiences to include list, select the relevant one.

      • You can add multiple audiences, and exclude audiences from seeing the advert.

    • To target new audiences, select New People.

  2. Select the location:

    • Social Location: To define the location by country, city or postcode and only Facebook users in these locations see the advert.

    • Page Location: Use the coordinates allocated to your pages. You can also specify the radius around the page location to target in miles.

    • Atreemo Location: Use Acteol SE Locations as target to your campaign.

  3. Specify the gender, age range, and detailed targeting.

Content setup

  1. Click Build Advert.

    • Specify the name.

    • Specify the message.

    • From the link section, add the relevant links.

    • Select the relevant social pages.

  2. Click Add.

  3. To preview your ad's content, navigate to the Preview section.


Budget setup

  • From the list, select the Billing Event.

    • Choose the ad to be billed based on impressions or by link clicks.

    • Enable Auto-Bid, you allow Facebook to assign your budget most effectively throughout the duration your ad is live.

  • Set the budget, and select if it's the total or per day.

  • Define the start and the end date.

    • To set a schedule for your ad, select the boxes for the relevant date and time choices.

  • Click Update.


  • Review any setup details, then click Submit.
