Create a Google advert

You can create a Google ad in a few easy steps.

πŸ“ŒNote: To follow these steps, you need to have purchased the Audience Management module and integrated your Google Ad accounts.

To create a Google ad, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Modules list, click Audience Management.

  2. Click Ad Summary.

  3. Click Create Advert, then select Google Ad.

  4. Work through the left-hand tabs.


Campaign setup

  1. Select the Google Ad account.

  2. Name your ad.

    • This is for internal use and doesn't show on your ad.

  3. Select the Ad type:

    • Search: Reach customers interested in your product or service with text ads.

      • Search Network
        Ads can appear near Google Search results and other Google sites when people search for terms relevant to your keywords.

      • Display Network
        Expand your reach by showing ads to relevant customers as they browse sites, videos, and apps across the internet.

    • Display: Run different kinds of ads across the web.

      • Standard display campaign
        Pick your settings and targeting with options for automation.

  4. Click Save & Continue.

Target setup

  1. Select the audience, you can select audiences you've already created.

    • Select Custom or Lookalike Audience.

    • From from the Audiences to include list, select the relevant one.

      • You can add multiple audiences, and exclude audiences from seeing the advert.

    • To target new audiences, select New People.

  2. Select the location:

    • Social Location: To define the location by country, city, or postcode. Only Facebook users in these locations see the advert.

    • Page Location: Use the coordinates you've allocated to your pages. You can also specify the radius around the page location to target in miles.

    • Atreemo Location: Use Acteol SE Locations as the target to your campaign.

  3. Specify the keywords:

    • You can use Get keyword ideas.


Content setup

  1. Click Build Advert.

    • Specify the name.

    • Specify the headlines.

    • Specify the descriptions.

    • Specify the message.

    • Add the relevant links.

  2. Click Update.

  3. To preview your ad's content, navigate to the Preview section.

Extensions setup

Ad extensions are additional pieces of information that expand your advert to make it more useful to users. They typically include telephone numbers or additional links from your website.

  1. Click Ad Extension, then choose the relevant option:

    • Sitelink Extension.

    • Callout Extension.

    • Call Extension.

  2. Click Save & Continue.

Budget setup

With Auto-Bid, Google can assign your budget most effectively throughout the ad duration.

πŸ€“Tip: You can disable the toggle if you don't want to have an automatic bid and you can define the Bid Amount by GBP.

  1. Set the daily budget.

  2. Define the start and the end date.

    • To set a schedule for your ad, select the boxes for the relevant date and time choices.

  3. Click Update.


5. Click Submit.
